With nearly 40 years of experience spanning Italy, California, and now Puerto Morelos, Chef Umberto Pala has built his reputation around bold flavors and unforgettable hospitality.
Born and trained in Italy, he began cooking professionally at just 14 years old before working his way through kitchens, restaurants, and culinary programs across Italy and California.
Over the course of his career, he has worked in high-end restaurants, managed bars and breweries, run his own restaurants, been recognized as an up and coming chef in San Diego, and and cooked for well-known Silicone Valley CEOs.
Today, Umberto brings that experience into private homes and vacation spaces across Puerto Morelos, Cancun, and Playa del Carmen... combining restaurant-level cooking with warmth, personality, and genuine hospitality.
